Refund policy

Cancellation Policy

Generally, orders can be cancelled within 24 hours of the order being placed at no charge. Once we have determined from the manufacturer that the order has been cancelled we will void or refund the amount charged to your card. However, if the order has shipped an order can not be cancelled and you will have to go through the standard Returns Policy as outlined in that section. Non-returnable items such as items custom-made-to-order may not be cancelled once production has begun.

Defective, Damaged or Missing Items

Please inspect your shipment immediately upon receipt and notify us immediately of any defective, damaged or missing items. We will endeavor to get any missing items shipped to you as soon as possible and replace defective or damaged products within 10 business days of notice of defect or damage using the following process:

  • Please contact us at customerservice@knobdeco.com or 888-566-2748 to notify us of missing, damaged or defective products.

  • Notice must be received within 30 days of the delivery of the items to the customer and items must not have been installed. Delivery will be determined from shipping company records.

  • We will contact the manufacturer and relay the information regarding the flaw or damage. The manufacturer may ask for additional information regarding the damage and, if so, we will work with you to provide it. Images of the items showing the defect or damage are extremely helpful in processing a claim.

  • Manufacturers will generally replace damaged or defective products at no cost to the customer (including shipping costs) but will not usually issue a refund for such items.

  • Claims due to damage during shipping must be made to the appropriate shipping company, rather than the manufacturer and we will work with you to file and follow up on any such claims.

  • Shipping costs for defective/damage claims will generally be the responsibility of the manufacturer.

  • The process for replacing damaged or defective products is outlined in the Returns/Exchange Procedure section below.


Returns & Exchanges Policy


Items that are not custom-made-to-order may be returned or exchanged subject to manufacturer's policies. Contact KnobDeco.com at customerservice@knobdeco.com or call 888-566-2748 to begin the return or exchange process.

Exchanges

  • Request for an exchange must be made within 30 days of delivery of the items. Date of delivery will be determined from shipping company records. 

  • Custom-made-to-order items are not exchangeable.

  • Items to be returned for exchange must be undamaged and in their original sealed packaging,

  • Exchange items must be from the same manufacturer as the original order.

  • To initiate an exchange transaction, please start by contacting us. We will have you place an order for the new items on the KnobDeco.com website, then contact the manufacturer to inform them that the order is part of an exchange transaction and initiate the Returns Procedure as outlined in the section below to get the original items back to the manufacturer.

  • Some manufacturers will forgive most or all of the restocking fee as part of an exchange, but this is not a blanket policy.

  • Any additional cost for the new items will be charged to the customer, likewise if the cost of the new items is less, the difference will be refunded to the customer.

  • Any refund due to the customer for the difference in cost will be issued by KnobDeco.com once the original items have been received by the manufacturer and approved for restocking.

  • Additional shipping charges may apply, 

 

Returns

Products purchased through KnobDeco.com may be returned for any reason, subject to the following terms:

  • Custom-made-to-order items are not returnable.

  • Requests for returns must be received within 30 days of delivery of the items to the customer. Date of delivery will be determined by shipping company records.

  • Items to be returned must be undamaged and original packaging.

  • No return will be accepted, or credit issued, without a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) as outlined in the Returns & Exchange Procedure section below.

  • Returns are subject to any restocking fees assessed by the manufacturer and the original shipping cost from the manufacturer to the customer. (The actual cost of shipping applies even if customer did not pay shipping upon ordering.) 

  • Shipping costs for returns will be the responsibility of the customer.

  • Credit for returned items will be issued by KnobDeco.com, less any restocking fee and/or shipping fee, after we have been notified by the manufacturer of receipt of the returned items in good condition. This may take anywhere between 10 days and two weeks after the items have been returned to stock.

 

Procedure for Returns & Exchanges

  • All exchanges and returns are governed by a Returned Goods Authorization (RGA) which is issued by the manufacturer or distributor of the items. Without an RGA we cannot accept any return, nor authorize a refund. To initiate a return/exchange request please contact us at customerservice@knobdeco.com or call us at 888-566-2748.

  • Once we receive a request from the customer for a return or exchange we will contact the manufacturer/distributor within one business day to initiate an RGA.

  • In the request please include:

    • Your name, 

    • Company name, if applicable,

    • Shipping Address, 

    • Order number, 

    • Contents you wish to return or exchange.

    • Reason for the return or exchange (item too small, wrong color, defective, etc.).

  • The manufacturer or distributor will issue an RGA form, which will include a RGA number and shipping instructions. We will forward the RGA number and instructions to the customer. This may take up to a week.

  • Please ensure that the RGA number is printed on the outside of the box with your return.

  • Items must be undamaged and in their original unopened package from the date of receipt.

  • You will be credited the full amount minus any shipping charges and restocking fees. Restocking Fees are determined by the manufacturer and may be beyond the control of KnobDeco.com.

Special orders and items made-to-order may not be returned for any reason. Before placing any Special Order, please contact our customer service department at 888-566-2748.
